Session Submission Type: Panel
The panel will discuss significant aspects of Russia’s performance during the First World War. The impact of climate, the ways in which the rural world was mobilized in support of the war effort and the effect of the arrival of hundreds of thousands of wounded men in Russia’s cities will each be considered. The panel aims at stimulating debate about the nature of Russia’s war experience in this centenary year.
