Brief Description

A generation ago most studies of the Russian Revolution focused, for a variety of reasons, on the great cities of Moscow and Petrograd. Since then, there has been an explosion of very welcome local and regional studies. Members of this panel are looking at topics relating to the question: 'what is the importance of the centre in the new intellectual landscape?'
