The paper reports on the experiences of two faculty in classroom use of a tablet computer. The benefits of this technology are discussed from the perspective of the teacher’s engagement in the student’s learning experience. The type of tablet computer that was used, the annotation software that was employed, and the classroom recording software that permitted the publishing of the classroom experience on Blackboard for later review by students, are topics that are discussed. The tablet computer is compared and contrasted to three other classroom delivery methods.
