Using information technology to solve business and accounting problems and facilitate decision making (IT skills) is one of the key learnings outcomes of undergraduate accounting courses per the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The incorporation of real-world examples into classroom has proven to be beneficial to students’ understanding of accounting process and analytical skills (Liew and Julie 2017). The main purpose of this paper dialogue is to discuss the challenges and opportunities among accounting educators who aspire integrating real-world projects related to blockchains into accounting curricula to get the most out of their experiences in the field regarding the possible integration of blockchains technology into classrooms and bring these benefits back to our accounting students.
