Abstract

This is a true story. All facts are a matter of public record and can be substantiated easily from information readily available in New York Times articles. Autumn Hills Nursing Homes, Inc. was the first Texas corporation to go on trial for murder. Five of its executives were defendants on criminal trial for abuse and neglect of dozens of patients at their Texas City facility. State and county auditors substantiated the case through falsified records prepared by the nursing home administrator.
