Summary

This presentation reports Japanese EFL teachers’ appropriation of the pedagogical tools presented in the U.S. teacher education program into their own classroom instruction. By following a single EFL teacher for four years, the study highlights the teacher’s negotiations for the goals of multiple teaching and learning settings inside/outside Japan.
