Summary

The present study examined the motivational features of EFL reading, using a scale to measure extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, and reading efficacy, with nonparametric estimation. The results indicated several salient features including differences between extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, which can appear in the EFL reading context.
