Plenary: Taiwan and Baltic Crossroads

Abstract

Diplomatic relations between the Baltic countries and the Republic of China (Taiwan) began in the 1920s, and revived in the 1990s. Ties deepened in 2021 with the the establishment of the Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania, and Lithuania's plans to open a representative office in Taiwan in spring of 2022. The panelists will address current developments and assess future prospects.
