Promoting Personalized Statistics Learning through Peer Modeling in an Open Learning Environment

Short Description

This study examined how individual student needs on practical and psychological levels can relate to peer modeling process in an open learning environment. Thus, the promotion of personalized statistics learning can achieve three anticipated outcomes: an improvement of mastery, an increase of motivation, and a decrease of learning anxiety toward introductory statistics. The developmental model of personalized statistics learning as well as the findings from an empirical study are discussed.
