[Cancelled] Mathematic and Science Teaching in K-12 in Shanghai China: Case Studies

Short Description

The research study was to investigate how mathematics and science were taught in K-12 schools, in Shanghai, China. Data collection included observations and interviews. The study indicated that teachers used project-based and inquiry-based learning while some teachers used teacher-centered and lecture-focused traditional method. Strengths found in the education in Shanghai included beginning teachers’ support and the collaboration among teaches. Memorization and rote-learning were still the areas that needed to be improved in the education system.
