Investigation of Instructor Use of Mobile Technologies and Web 2.0 Tools in Outdoor Education Programs

Short Description

The presenter will report results of a qualitative study conducted in a U.S. national park. The purpose of the study was to investigate the use of mobile technologies and Web 2.0 tools by instructors in outdoor education programs. Nine instructors were interviewed in the month of January 2014. Results show that participants’ use of technologies and approaches varied. Attendees are invited to share their perspectives on mobile technology use in wilderness areas.
