This study aims to propose design principles of an annotation tool to facilitate reading comprehension. The researchers have graphed the simulated functions in a self-contrived social annotation tool (SAT) using Word files to plan the possible modules and functions to be programmed to promote reading comprehension. The functions include (a) adding and annotating documents, (b) organizing annotated documents, (c) and discussing work through chat rooms.
