Short Description

This research explores relationships between faculty and student perceptions of technology usefulness and actual technology use within online courses. Technologies explored include blogs, discussion boards, wikis, electronic journals, and web conferencing. The extent of technology use is collected from within the course management system, and surveys identify where faculty and student perceptions of technology usefulness coincide and diverge. Findings from this study inform future use of technologies within online courses.
