Learning and Technology: Data Driven Decision Making in Education and Implications for Educational Technology

Short Description

With increased emphasis on using data in education, fourteen states are engaged in determining the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors educators need to engage effectively in data-driven decision making. In July 2014 they will present a set of competencies, aligned with existing standards, for use in educator preparation and professional development. These competencies and their implications for educational technology, both in preparing educators and the technology experts who work with educators, will be presented.
