Adolescents’ Internet Use and Usage in a Family Context: Implications for Family Learning

Short Description

This study investigates how the internet can potentially impact the quality of family relationship using a family boundaries approach. We select 825 Grade 8 students from 36 secondary schools in Hong Kong using stratified random sampling method based on a broad categorisation of academic ability. While this study provides evidence as to how adolescents’ internet use and usage affects family relationship, it advances our understanding of how technology can be used to support family learning.
