This discussion presents the application of the Human Performance Technology (HPT) model to direct and develop individuals during any stage of their pursuit of a doctoral degree. The HPT model is discussed in the context of enhancing and directing professional learning, development, and growth of the doctoral student. The emerging field of human performance technology is taken from the traditional corporate setting and applied to learning and development in higher education.
