MOOCs Study Meet-up: Facilitating Strategies, Learning Process, and Things Gained

Short Description

Low participation and high dropout rate remain pressing issues in MOOCs, and “Join a meet-up” has been recommended as a way to ameliorate such problems. While the literature is still limited, this study intends to document the facilitating strategies, process and interactions, as well as things gained in a 6-week meet-up group. We hope this study to shed light on the formation and facilitation of MOOCs meet-ups, as well as future design of MOOCs.
