Wed, Nov 5, 3:30 to 4:30pm, 3rd Level, City Terrace 06

Short Description

The purposes of this mixed-methods study were to develop a graph-based computer-assisted project-based learning environment and to study the impact of the learning environment on the development of middle school students’ scientific argumentation skills in the U.S and Taiwan. This study found that such learning environment could augment middle school students’ learning outcomes in both countries and could help students develop argumentation skills. Additionally, middle school students in both countries demonstrated different behaviors in two cultural dimensions.
