#WhatsTheDifference? Comparing Hashtag Conversations on Twitter among Teachers

Short Description

Twitter has been promoted to foster the development of Networks of Practice (NoP) among professionals. Yet, previous research has neglected whether and to what extend NoP develop among teachers. The present study addresses this shortcoming by comparing two Twitter conversations among teachers. Using a multimethod approach, we show that the main characteristics of the two conversations are similar. Yet, the more focused conversation seemed to be more open for new-comers.
