Scaffolding Overt and Covert Retrieval Practice Using a Web-Based Content Retrieval Tool

Short Description

This study examined the effects of retrieval practice enabled by a web-based content retrieval tool and looked at the students' choice of retrieval practice mode and how it influenced plant identification performance. Server logs and weekly quiz scores served as data sources. A mixed effects ordinal logistic regression demonstrated that in addition to the expected influence of quiz complexity, variables associated with overt and covert retrieval were significant predictors of students’ plant identification performance.
