Communities of practice may provide new ways to support faculty professional development initiatives, especially in the development of instructional design skills and knowledge. This session will describe how an Instructional Design Community of Practice was developed and implemented within a higher education setting, as well as provide recommendations related to utilizing such a professional development strategy.
