Short Description

Charter schools started as a reform to establish an innovative education system. However, few studies have investigated technology integration practices in charter schools. The purpose of this study was to examine charter school teachers’ and principals’ technology integration beliefs and concerns, and how their perceptions aligned or misaligned. The findings suggested an alignment in terms of beliefs, and concerns about teacher knowledge and skills, subject culture, and institutional culture. However, there was a discrepancy between teachers’ and principals’ concerns with regards to technology resources and state assessment requirements.
