Short Description

Tools like Wikis and Second Life are tools that hold promise but it might be best to consider using them in conjunction with well-established teaching principles such as the seven principles for good practice developed by Chickering and Gamson in 1987. This paper will describe the above tools and principles and will discuss how they were implemented in an online computer class.
