This proposal explores the extent to which higher education faculty members in instructional design and technology employ student-centered teaching methods and how they define student-centered teaching. The perspective of faculty members is contrasted with how graduate students perceive their courses and faculty as student-centered. This study employed survey research with Likert-type and open-ended items to investigate six broad constructs: planning, motivating students, during activities, instruction, behavior, and assessment and evaluation.
