Analysis of Mobile Learning as an Innovation in Higher Education – A Comparative Study of Three Countries

Wed, Nov 5, 3:30 to 4:30pm, 3rd Level, St John's

Short Description

This proposed research aims to examine how mobile learning is integrated in the current higher education settings in three countries: the U.S., China, and Turkey. We consider mobile learning an innovation and analyzed its integration status according to Rogers’ (2003) five shared characteristics of an innovation: relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Findings show that mobile learning is currently well-poised for learning integration, with cultural differences across all five dimensions.
