Short Description

Various domains require practitioners to encounter and resolve ill-structured problems within communities of practice. As such, problem solving is an essential skill that educators must emphasize to prepare learners for practice. Understanding the factors and instructional strategies that facilitate and engender problem-solving skills is an important challenge for researchers and educators. One potential way to support problem solving is through further investigation of instructional design methods that contextualize knowledge.
