Short Description

A Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) was recently created at Young Harris College (YHC). YHC was started in the 1880’s to provide the first and only educational opportunities for residents of isolated areas in the Blue Ridge Mountains. With a diverse student population, the college recognizes its Appalachian heritage with an Appalachian Research Center. This session will examine the implementation of the CETL and examine teaching in its unique cultural environment.
