Teachers’ Role in Blended Learning in Urban High School Classrooms

Short Description

Blended learning has been used in K-12 classrooms as well as in high education. The role teacher plays in blended learning environment has been examined in high education course settings or with online students. This study looks at a blended learning initiative in a northeast urban city and examines the role teacher plays to pace students' learning and how teachers' practices change in blended learning environment. Another research question to be looked at is do teachers' pedagogical and technological beliefs and practices change after participating in the blended learning intuitive. The findings of the study will provide insight to understand teachers' role in blended learning and how to support teachers in technology integration in blended learning environment.
