Short Description

Competency-Based Education is not new. However, the nationwide interest in CBE is. The US DOE has announced the creation of “experimental sites” around the country to explore CBE, and more than 350 institutions are currently offering or creating CBE degree tracks. This approach has the potential to rewrite the way we deliver academic programs as well as how we define the credit hour, pace the learning experience, assign academic credit, and distribute financial aid.
