The theory of transactional distance and the community of inquiry model have stood the test of time over several delivery modes and the evolution of online learning. However, in a post-industrial era with a demand for more personalized learning approaches how will the theory and model hold up and continue to impact practice?

This session will present a current study, and explore with the audience the theory and model’s impact on our future learning environments.
