The purposes of this study are to investigate 1) the relationships between motivational constructs (i.e. intrinsic and extrinsic goal orientations, task value and self-efficacy), self-regulated learning, sense of community and satisfaction with online learning experience, and 2) the extent to which the variables mentioned above explain online learners’ satisfaction with the learning experience. Sixty-eight undergraduate and graduate students participated in the study. The study findings revealed that self-efficacy and sense of community are the significant predictors of online learners’ satisfaction with the learning experience.
