Short Description

This study explored the relationship among college students’ mobile phone addiction, personality traits and media multitasking behaviors during schoolwork, and learning performance. Structural equation modeling and hierarchical multiple regression were used to analyze survey data from 192 Midwestern public university students. Results showed that mobile phone addiction depending on personality traits negatively affect their learning performance. The more addicted to mobile phones they are, the more frequently they exibited media multitasking behaviors during schoolwork.
