The purposes of this study were to create an iventory that measures Taiwanese college students positve smartphone perceptions and usage (PSPUI) and to explore its relationship with college students’ smartphone addiction (SPAI). Preliminary findings showed that except for the self-control dimension, all the PSPUI subscales positively correlated with smartphone addiction, signifying the importance of self-relation and related facilitations. More intricate results and discussions would be reported by the time of conference presentation.
