The purpose of this research is to investigate how learning Instructional Design (ID) theories affect the ID of pre-service teacher-training students and their motivation. A total of 43 students answered questionnaires and designed lesson plans. As a result, by learning ID theories, pre-service teacher-training students will be able to figure out the relationship between ID and the subjects, and design instructions focusing on how to attract students’ interest and how to enhance retention.
