Virtual Reality in Forensic Science

Short Description

We are proposing the development of a virtual learning environment for use in crime scene investigation that addresses major competencies in forensic science to include concept development, procedural knowledge, and higher-level cognitive skills. The VE will be innovative in its incorporation of instructional scaffolding to facilitate the learning process and allow for the individualization of the learning environment for each unique learner within their zone of proximal development. This provides the means to account for diversity in learning and address issues of accessibility.
