Evaluation of Computational Thinking (CT) through Bebras challenge

Mon, Nov 2, 7:30 to 8:30am EST (7:30 to 8:30am EST), Virtual AECT, Gallery Walk

Short Description

This study explored how undergraduate students solve problems requiring Computational Thinking(CT) in devising solutions. The analysis of the solutions aimed to reveal how students understood the problems and applied CT in problem-solving processes. Students’ solutions of four Bebras challenges revealed three levels of CT skills: premature, intermediate, advanced levels. The levels of solutions identified from CT perspectives suggest insightful instructional strategies for teachers to prepare CT practices by understanding/monitoring students’ CT skills.
