Short Description

This session will present the results of modifications to online graduate courses to encourage student engagement in asynchronous online environments. The project reviewed the impact of students posting video introductions in order to facilitate engagement and providing the opportunity for students to be provided with the opportunity for choice in discussion threads within the courses. Additionally, the student responses were analyzed to see if choice encouraged higher level responses based in light of Bloom’s taxonomy.
