Short Description

This proposal reports a Category 2 Work in Progress on examining the multimedia and modality principles among both dyslexic and non-dyslexic college students. The study used a 2 Multimedia (Present vs. Absent) x 2 Modality (Narration vs. On-Screen Text) x 2 Dyslexia (Dyslexic vs. Non-Dyslexic) three-way factorial design with cued-recall, content recognition, satisfaction, and mental effort as the dependent measures. Findings demonstrate differences between dyslexic and non-dyslexic students in how the learn from multimedia instruction.
