Makerspace Activities and Learning in a Middle School Science Classroom Setting

Short Description

As makerspaces are being rapidly adopted among K-12 schools across the country, this study aimed to contribute to the small but growing amount of research that explores the effects of makerspaces in a formal K-12 educational setting. This mixed methods study examined students’ construction of content-based knowledge and scientific writing in a middle school science classroom as students worked in the school’s makerspace.
