This study explored how facilitators scaffold the development of skills for teaching problem-solving in virtual reality (VR) environments for computer science graduate teaching assistants. With ethnographic method, we present two emerging themes: (1) VR-afforded social negotiation of problem-solving teaching and (2) the role of domain-specific culture in problem-solving teaching training. This study will provide new insights on how facilitation in VR environments will enhance the training/learning of problem-solving teaching. Implications and future research are discussed.
