Examining Social Learning in an Active Learning Classroom through Pedagogy-Space-Technology Framework

Short Description

This case study examined instructor and students’ perceptions of learning in ALCs and the interaction among instructor and students using the Pedagogy-Space-Technology (PST) framework. The data sources of this study are classroom observation and semi-structured interviews. The results indicated that learning space design and technology impact the pedagogy and the instructions. The advantages of ALC include providing flexibility and fostering social learning. Group activities and interactive lectures were commonly used in ALCs for social learning.
