Short Description

Theorists argue that problem-solving and inquiry-based learning is an increasingly important skill set in the information age, but many challenges remain in its implementation within classroom settings. In this roundtable, we will explore the theoretical justification as to how open microcredentials can support problem-solving by providing “guardrails” that simultaneously honor the openness of student inquiry while also providing some scaffolding of the knowledge domain and increasing the level of feedback provided to students.
