Assessing ESL Learners’ Online Learning Self-Efficacy in Thailand: Are They Ready?

Tue, Nov 3, 3:00 to 4:15pm EST (3:00 to 4:15pm EST), Virtual AECT, Grand4

Short Description

Online learning self-efficacy data was collected from 856 ESL students at a large public university in Thailand to examine whether new students to the university felt comfortable and confident using online course management tools. Significant correlations were found between online learning self-efficacy levels and demographic characteristics including self-report computer skills and prior online learning experience. High levels of online learning self-efficacy were found and indicate a readiness for exposure to online learning courses.
