Short Description

Instructional feedback can enhance learning generally, which was validated in previous studies. However, little efforts have been spent on investigating how the strategies in feedback messages are used to support learning mastery of online competency-based learning (CBL). A qualitative content analysis will be used to examine the feedback texts to discover strategies used to support learning mastery. The feedback strategies and the relationships between feedback strategies and learning tasks will be identified and discussed.
