The purpose of this study is to find a structure regarding important design aspects that MOOC learners value for their learning. Despite an explosive growth of MOOCs for the past decade, design aspects of MOOCs are often driven by major market players or higher education institutions rather than focusing on learners’ needs. Findings from a factor analysis of the learners who currently enrolled in a MOOC reveal four important design dimensions that those learners value.
