Researchers analyze the effectiveness of a flipped instruction model compared to a traditional model by assessing students’ exam performance, motivation, study efforts (self-regulation), and perceived class quality. In the traditional model, the course encompassed lecture and in-class assignments. In the flipped model, students completed weekly readings and chapter notes guides prior to class. Thus, allowing face-to-face time to focus on group discussion, hands-on activities, presentations, and reflection. With both courses, outside assignments involved assessment projects.
