Short Description

This session will engage learning designers to reflect on their intercultural competencies and practices to become responsive to the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and beliefs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners and become sensitive to learners’ needs to provide inclusive learning experiences. Participants will be guided in a reflection process with the Intercultural Competence Survey for IDs. Participants will work individually and in groups to contextualize the intercultural measurement strands from an instructional design perspective to examine how each strand could manifest in the development educational materials and lessons, and a professional development plan to provide inclusive learning experiences
