Short Description

Instructors in face-to-face classrooms often struggle to design instruction provides quality learning with in-depth understanding. One way for quality learning is by implementing asynchronous online discussion (AOD). The findings showed that students found the integration of AOD important for understanding the course content and improving their writing skills, especially students for whom English is a second language. The results also emphasized the importance of the instructor’s role for discussion to be a meaningful discussion.
