Traditional communication methods rely upon a combination of auditory and visual cues, but technology-based methods are primarily visual text-based messages. Teens who have learning disabilities may struggle to access written communication. How do teens with LD communicate in today’s digital culture? This session will examine reported communication preferences, needs, and practices. Both researchers and practitioners will benefit from understanding current communication trends and strategies that can support online communication for teens with LD.
