In this replication study, faculty and student voices are brought together to understand how an active learning space “Collaboration Cafe” is utilized in three different academic disciplines (i.e., Informatics, School of Public Health, and The Media School) to encourage college students’ collaboration. Classroom video recordings and daily room usage checklist completed by the faculty were used to triangulate interview and survey data. Study findings provide insights into the effective use of active learning classrooms for supporting collaborative activity.
